Hatis Yerevan legionnaire Amanda Jackson is used to warmer climates,
but is prepared for the cold journey to the Russian city of Orenburg,
where the women's basketball team from Armenia will be playing against
local team Nadezhda.
"This is my first time going to Russia. I've been to a number of
countries, but there hadn't been an opportunity to go to Russia until
now. I know that it's pretty cold there, but I think that doesn't
apply in the stadium," said Jackson, while speaking to ArmSport.am.
The American citizen from Illinois secured 23 points for Hatis in
their home game with Nadezhda, though the Armenian team lost in the
end (69-80). That EuroCup Women Sixteenth Final game marked Jackson's
initiation into the Hatis team.
"I played a good game, though I could've done better. I hope this time
that which didn't happen in Yerevan [a victory] will happen in Russia.
I'm optimistic," said Jackson.
