SHIRKHANYAN BLAMES THE HAK

Today, the SDHP member Vahan Shirkhanyan blamed the Congress for
splitting the Social Democratic Hnchakyan party. He said that if
external interference in party's affairs lacked, including interference
by Congress, the party would have calmly solved its problems. He
thinks Congress was wrong to issue a statement in support of Lyudmila
Sargsyan in case the pan-Hnchakyan structure accepted the decisions
of the extraordinary congress taken place in December.
Recall in 2009 a part of the SDHP convened an extraordinary congress
to elect a new head and a new administration. Vahan Shirkhanyan is
among this group. SDHP other wing convened a regular session in January
and re-elected Lyudmila Sargsyan as the head of the party. The sides
blame each other for splitting the party.
