2010 World Youth Boxing Championship in Baku

As reported by ArmSport.am, the news that the 2010 World Youth Boxing
Championship is going to take place in Baku became known only
recently.
`According to the International Amateur Boxing Association calendar,
this youth championship, in 2010, was to take place in the French
capital of Paris, though at the last minute it became evident that it
would take place in Baku,' said Armenian Boxing Federation
vice-president Derenik Gabrielyan, according to a source.
`The Olympic boxing competition permits for the Singapore 2010 Youth
Olympic Games will be allocated during the inaugural world youth
champsionship, and if our team doesn't participate in that qualifier,
it would mean that we will lose [the opportunity to participate] as
well in the youth Olympic Games boxing championship,' said Gabrielyan.
