CONSULTATIONS BETWEEN FOREIGN MINISTRIES OF ARMENIA, BULGARIA HELD IN SOFIA

Consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Armenia
and Bulgaria were held in Sofia on January 18.
The parties discussed international and regional developments,
implementation of the Action Plan of the European Neighborhood
Policy, the cooperation between the two countries within international
organizations, as well as the development of cooperation in the Black
Sea region.
Touching upon the collaboration between Armenia and Bulgaria in
the political, trade-economic and scientific-cultural spheres, the
parties noted that progress had been registered especially in the
scientific-cultural field. The Armenian Culture Year Festival will
kick off in Bulgaria later in January.
The parties exchanged views on the reforms implemented in the two
countries, the relations with neighbors, the negotiations on the
settlement of the Karabakh conflict, and the normalization of the
Armenian-Turkish relations.
The same day Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Karine Ghazinyan
delivered a lecture on Armenia's foreign policy and regional
cooperation at the Institute of Diplomacy adjunct to the Ministry of
Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria.
The Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister gave an interview to the Bulgarian
"GROSS" information agency.
