ARMENIA, IRAN WILLING TO BROADEN COOPERATION

Ex-President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan and Iranian President Mahmoud
Ahmadinejad discussed regional and global developments today, Iranian
IRNA agency reports.
At the meeting, the Iranian President said that the current regional
as well as global developments would benefit independent and
justice-seeking nations around the globe.
Regional countries have enough potential to attain peace, welfare
and tranquility through mutual cooperation, he pointed out.
Existing ties between Iran and Armenia are very friendly, said
the Iranian President, adding that the two sides are determined
to implement joint projects and play an active role in regional
developments.
Robert Kocharyan said, in turn, that Armenia is willing to broaden its
relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran and underscored that the
two sides enjoy capacities to increase the current level of bilateral
relations and regional cooperation.
