The U.S. Heritage Foundation, in cooperation with The Wall Street
Journal, has released the 2010 Index of Economic Freedom.

The authors estimate the economic freedom in 179 countries. Such
indices as business freedom, trade, fiscal and monetary policy,
investment freedom, labor market and corruption are taken into account.

The countries are raked as "repressed" (less than 50 points),
"mostly unfree" (50-60), "moderately free" (60-70), "mostly free"
(70-80), and "free" (more than 80 points).

    Armenia ranks 38th (69.2), Azerbaijan 96th (58.8), Russia 143rd
    (50.3), Georgia 26th (70.4), and Turkey 27th (63.8).

Hong Kong (89.7), Singapore (86.1), Australia (82.6) and New Zealand
