ARMENIA-EU RELATIONS DEVELOP DYNAMICALLY

On January 21 Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received
the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus, Peter Semneby.
Summing up the achievements of Armenia's European integration policy in
2009, the parties noted with appreciation that the dynamic development
of the Armenian-EU relations continues both in multilateral and
bilateral formats.
Minister Nalbandian underlined that "Armenia will continue taking
active steps towards further reinforcement of relations with the
European Union."
The parties exchanged views on the Eastern Partnership Program,
attaching importance to the full utilization of the existing potential
- the development of the Associated agreement and the easing of the
visa regime.
The interlocutors touched upon the process of negotiations on the
settlement of the Karabakh issue and the latest developments in the
Armenian-Turkish relations.
