Three Armenian boys among honorary 20 selected from three thousand
students of famous school La Martiniere of Kolkata
KOLKATA, JANUARY 22, NOYAN TAPAN - ARMENIANS TODAY. On January 21,
only twenty of three thousand students of famous school La Martiniere
of Kolkata were chosen of school prefects among which are our three
Armenian boys. According to Armenia College and Philanthropic Academy
information center, the newly nominated elders were given certificates
and special ties.
The report read that those selected are students of Armenia College
and Philanthropic Academy of Kolkata, Andranik Gevorgian, Karen
Mkrtchian of Armenia and Armen Margarian of Iran, who currently
continue their higher education in La Martiniere of Kolakata.
The students were nominated by the teachers and the principal of the
school on the basis of their academic performance and capabilities.
Pastor of Armenians in India, Manager of Armenia College and
Philanthropic Academy, Father Khoren was invited to the ceremony. He
thanked the Principal, Sunirmal Chakravarthi for providing the
Armenian boys with an opportunity of excellent education and bestowing
upon them the honor of being chosen as prefects.
