Within two weeks Yerevan and Baku should submit their proposals for
those provisions of Madrid Documents, concerning which the parties did
not come to mutual understanding, OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair
Yuri Merzlyakov stated according to the results of talks, NEWS.am
    correspondent reports from Sochi.

According to him, the mediators hope the proposals will be submitted
within two weeks. Thereafter the Co-Chairs will again visit the
region. Referring to the previous negotiations, Russian diplomat
outlined the sides held open and constructive discussions. He attached
significance to Sargsyan-Aliyev-Medvedev trilateral meeting. "The
parties take Russian President Dmitry Medvedev's initiative with great
respect," he noted. Nevertheless, Merzlyakov did not forecast whether
any document on Karabakh conflict resolution will be signed in 2010.

    As NEWS.am reported previously, January 25, Sargsyan-Aliyev-Medvedev
trilateral meeting was held in Sochi. Armenian and Azerbaijani
Presidents continued talks with the participation of OSCE MG
Co-Chairs. The Presidents elaborated preamble to Madrid Principles,
so-called fundamental principles of Karabakh conflict settlement in
the course of trilateral meeting in Sochi, Russian FM Sergei Lavrov
    stated later.
