TEHRAN - Armenian President Serge Sarkisian has said that it will
not be possible to resolve the problems of the region without Iran's
cooperation.
In a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in
Yerevan on Wednesday, Sarkisian said there is no doubt that Iran is
one of the key players in the region, and the expansion of relations
with Iran is in Armenia's interests.
The Iranian foreign minister traveled to Armenia to attend the ninth
session of the Iran-Armenia commission for economic cooperation.
Sarkisian stated that Armenia recognizes and supports Iran's right
to develop nuclear energy.
Mottaki said the two countries should expand their relations in the
spheres of energy and transportation.
The Iranian foreign minister also called for the implementation of
regional approaches to resolve regional problems like the Iraq and
