established at Golden Apricot festival, what is important. "One can
get acquainted with a great number of interesting people. Besides, I
finally got time to watch films," Loznitsa told a press conference on
the sidelines of Golden Apricot festival.
Loznitsa's My Joy film is included in the competition program of fiction films.
Speaking about the difference in documentaries and fiction films, the
filmmaker noted that documentaries differ by greater unpredictability
of the result. Meanwhile, answering a question on a new wave in the
Russian cinema, Loznitsa said that there is no new wave yet. He added
that there are some interesting films, which, however, "contain
student's mistakes."
Later, in his comments to a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Sergei Loznitsa
noted that he chooses films intuitively. "First, I get an idea of a
film and then I start looking for the place, where I can shoot it,"
said Loznitsa, adding that this is his second, but not last visit to
Armenia.
