Orange opens computer center in Aragats village

Orange continues implementing charity projects aimed at community
development. A modern computer center furnished with broadband
Internet was opened today in Aragats village of Aragatsotn region with
joint efforts of Orange and Shen charity organization in the frames of
strategic partnership.
The newly opened computer center is equipped with 5 computers,
printer/scanner, Orange Flybox 3G router and comfortable furniture ,
which will provide possibility to the residents of Aragats not only be
connected with the world, but also participate in computer courses.
For implementation of this project Orange has allotted total AMD
2,348,000.
`Modern technologies develop with an uncredible speed, and their usage
in the everyday life allows not only to make easy people's life, make
distances shorter, but also stimulate social, cultural, scientific
development, make people be always informed. We think that talented
people in small habitations should have the same opportunities as
those in big cities. That's with this idea that Orange has built the
largest 3G+ coverage of Armenia, and the inauguration of this computer
room is especially important for us, because it is directly linked to
our primary business,' said Bruno Duthoit, Orange CEO.
As other projects, this project is as well has been implemented by
joint efforts of Orange, Shen and the community, which will ensure its
sustainability and long-term success.
This initiative of Orange was implemented in the frames of the
strategic program of support to sustainable development of remote and
vulnerable communities, which aims to boost and support social and
economic development of these communities and make them fully benefit
from the high technologies.
