Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received Gunnar Wigand, Director for
Eastern European, South Caucasian and Central Asian Affairs of EC
General Department for External Relations. In attendance was Head of
EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Raul de Lutzenberger.
>>From the perspective of ongoing reforms, the Prime Minister
underscored the importance of the startup of talks on the association
agreement to be signed between the Republic of Armenia and the
European Union.
Details of Eastern Partnership Program's State agency development
comprehensive program were discussed during the meeting. In this
context, the interlocutors emphasized those capacity building-wise
joint efforts exercised by the EU advisory group and local agencies
which may well lead to successful public sector reform and enhanced
governance efficiency in Armenia.
Gunnar Wigand forwarded to the Prime Minister EC Vice President
Catherine Ashton's best regards and invited Tigran Sargsyan to visit
the EC headquarters in Brussels.
