ARMENIAN RED CROSS SOCIETY COMPLETES CONCERTS-ON-WHEELS ACTION IN SUPPORT OF ANTI-AIDS FIGHT

ArmInfo. The Armenian Red Cross Society (ARCS) is completing the
Concerts-on- Wheels action in support of anti-AIDS fight, which aims
to raise the public awareness of HIV/AIDS problem.
The ARCS press service told ArmInfo that concerts have already been
held in Hrazdan, Ijevan and Kapan. On July 29 the last concert will
be held at the Lovers' Park in Yerevan. The concert will also cover
social video-clips and films telling about the problem of AIDS,
and the spectators will receive booklets and condoms.
As of 31 May 2010, a total of 874 HIV cases were revealed among
Armenian citizens. Since 1988 over 200 HIV/AIDS patients have died
in the republic, among them women and children.
