intend to take effective steps for more development of relations with
Canada", E. Nalbandyan said. In the context of discussion of extension
of trade and economic relations, Armenian FM noted with satisfaction
that about twenty enterprises with the Canadian capital function in
Armenia, and their number may grow due to joint efforts. The parties
touched on the issues of tightening of cooperation within the frames
of international organizations, as well as the issues related to
promotion of security and stability in the South Caucasus. The two
foreign ministers also touched on the steps taken by Armenia towards
establishment of relations with Turkey and the current stage of
this process.
According to E. Nalbandyan, this process will continue when Turkey
is ready to respect the agreements, that is, ratify and implement
the signed Protocols without preconditions. In his turn, L. Cannon
said Canada hails all the efforts towards establishment of natural
