I don't see any opportunities for resumption of Armenian-Turkish
normalization process in the near future, the head of People's Party
of Armenia Stepan Demirchyan told reporters Wednesday.
According to him, relations with neighbors should be regular and
they are for normalization of relations between the two countries,
"not at the expense of national virtue, naturally."
He said they are against the provision over establishing a historical
committee. According to Demirchyan, Turkey used the process to prevent
the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
Speaking about Nagorno-Karabakh settlement, S. Demirchyan said they
are against any unilateral concessions.
"The right to self-determination of Artsakh people should be respected,
use of force should be ruled out, the rest is a matter of talks,"
he highlighted.
