AZERBAIJAN IS DELUDED THINKING WAVING ITS FLAG IN STEPANAKERT WILL EMBODY SETTLEMENT OF KARABAKH CONFLICT: NALBANDYAN

The use of force or the threat of using force must not be used as
negotiation dividend in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh conflict,
said Armenia's Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandyan as he addressed
the Canadian parliament on June 1.
"Bellicose statements by Azerbaijani authorities, the rhetoric
that seeds hatred are not only a violation of international rights,
but also obviously run counter Azerbaijan's false promises as if it
intends to ensure the welfare of the population of Nagorno Karabakh.
To what extent one should be cynical to promise taking care of
someone at the same time threatening to kill them should they not
obey? A conflict is impossible to settle by proposing its cause as
a settlement mechanism," said Nalbandyan.
"Today the Azerbaijani authorities are under the illusion that waving
Azerbaijani flag in Stepanakert will embody the settlement of the
conflict," said he, adding that in reality, the reason of the future
conflict became the fact that Josef Stalin forcefully imposed that
very flag upon Karabakh in 1921.
