The economic growth Armenia saw during the first 5 months is accounted
for by foreign factors, former president of Armenia's Central Bank
Bagrat Asatryan told a press conference today.
According to him the metal prices in world market went up during
the period under discussion and that resulted in a significant grow
in economy.
"During the four months this year a 10% growth has been registered
in industry sector," said Asatryan, adding that the growth in other
spheres was not that significant.
"Growth is said to have been registered, but except authorities,
all are worried by what is happening in agriculture sector. The
authorities say there is growth. May it be so," said he.
Asatryan also said that transfers have also been increased this year
which has in turn contributed to the economic growth in Armenia's
economy.
