NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS WITH STOP-WATCH TO BE PLACED IN ABOUT 25 CROSSINGS OF YEREVAN

YEREVAN, JUNE 14, ARMENPRESS: New traffic lights with a stop-watch
will be placed in 25 crossings of Yerevan by the end of the year. Road
Police Chief Margar Ohanyan told Armenpress that similar 600 traffic
lights have already been placed in a number of crossings of the
capital. Works in that direction will be carried out in all the
administrative units.
"The traffic lights help both drivers and pedestrians to avoid
violating the traffic rules," M. Ohanyan said. For making the traffic
easier works on drawing traffic lines for pedestrians are being carried
out in the capital. The works are intended to accomplish till August.
