"After these tough statements Aliyev's presence in St. Petersburg could
be commented in different ways, one of them, to me, being external
pressure," political expert, Yerevan State University professor
Alexander Manasyan told reporters today. He recalled that prior to
the meeting Aliyev announced that he has nothing to say, it's Armenia
that should speak and announce on withdrawal of its troops.
"Aliyev had to go to Saint Petersburg and going there under pressure
means something," Manasyan said, explaining that the international
community cannot tolerate collapse of the settlement process of
conflicts, as well as taking these to the field of bellicose rhetoric.
