Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev
said during a Saint Petersburg meeting attended also by their
Russian counterpart Dmitry Medvedev that they were ready to continue
negotiations pertaining to the resolution of Nagorno Karabakh
conflict on the basis of Madrid Principles, Russian President's
Press Secretary Natalya Timakova said after the meeting on Thursday,
reported RIA Novosti.
In her words, the parties made special mention of the rapprochement
in their positions over some disputed provisions of the text of the
main principles of the settlement. She also said that the three
presidents discussed during that meeting the focal points of the
Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
"Presidents of Azerbaijan and Armenia reaffirmed their readiness to
continue the dialogue aimed at finishing the work on this document
mediated by Russia, US, France as OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs,"
said Timakova.
