NICOSIA JAZZ FESTIVAL IN STASIKRATOUS

On Friday 25th June at 9:00 p.m., the festival will commence with the
local jazz artist 'Myrto Meletiou'. Her performance will be followed
by Antenor Bogea and Mariana de Moraes.
As the Festival moves into full swing on Saturday night (26th June),
and as the sun sets into the west, "Hicaz" will magically transport
your mind and spirit into the Orient, through the multi rhythmical
and colourful traditional instruments.
Duetto jazz, the dynamic duo, promises to enchant you through their
home grown talent before the "KOHARAPAYL" group occupies the open
air stage. KOHARAPAYL is comprised of 15 distinguished performing
artists in the genre of their musical performances.
They have performed in different countries, spreading Armenian music
by enthusing music-loving audiences.
KOHARAPAYL musicians have endeavoured to present the Armenian national
and folk music, meticulously adhering to its origin, but with modern
arrangements.
Its ingenious orchestration gives a new vigour to Armenian popular
songs.
Their repertoire for the 'Nicosia Jazz Festival in Stasikratous'
promises to be a surprising release of diverse musical techniques
where east meets west in a magically Mediterranean ambiance.
