IRAN DIPLOMAT SAYS SKIRMISH PROVOKED BY EXTERNAL FORCES

Yerevan (Yerkir) - Iran rules out the resumption of Karabakh war,
Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Seyed Ali Saqqaiyan told reporters on
June 23.
Any conflict and clash will not be of benefit to any nation. The
Karabakh conflict should be solved through peaceful talks, the
Ambassador said.
Referring to the Azerbaijani provocation on June 18, Saqqaiyan said
it was a provocation organized by external forces.
On June 18, an Azerbaijani reconnaissance detachment intruded into
Nagorno-Karabakh from Azerbaijan, killing 4 Armenian soldiers and
wounding 4 others. The enemy retreated, leaving one soldier killed
and ammunition.
