ArmInfo. ACBA Credit Agricole Bank is expected to issue the first
AmEx cards in Armenia in Q2- Q3 2010, says Stepan Gishyan, Director
    General of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank.

Presently, the bank is considering the terms. Until now in Armenia
AmEx cards have been accepted only in hotels and some trade outlets.

"We are planning to change this situation and to allow AmEx card
holders to use their cards all over Armenia," says Gishyan.

Feb 9 ACBA's terminals started serving the cards of the AmEx partner
hotels and organizations. By the end of this year the cards will also
be accepted by ACBA partner outlets.

Presently, there are as many as 80,000,000 AmEx holders worldwide. "As
regards traveller's cheques, our AmEx cheques are accepted in many
organizations worldwide and are a very good instrument for those
    travelling a lot," says Gishyan.

To remind, ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank and American Express signed a
cooperation agreement on Aug 27 2009. ACBA is the first and exclusive
representative of AmEx in Armenia. The bank has the biggest number
of issued plastic cards in Armenia: over 80.000 ArCas, Visas and
MasterCards. It is also leader by service of plastic cards - nearly
35% of total network of ATMs and Pos-terminals in Armenia.
