ARMENIAN DIASPORA HONORS OLYMPIC DELEGATION OF ARMENIA IN VANCOUVER

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ The evening in honor of Armenian athletes Sergei
Mikaelyan, Christine Khachatryan, Ani Matilda Serebryakyan and Arsen
Nersisyan who took part in the 21 Olympics was held on February 28
in Vancouver at St. Vardan Armenian Church. The ceremony was attended
by over 200 dwellers of Vancouver and foreign guests.
The Charge d'Affaires of Armenia in Canada Arman Akopian greeted the
athletes and thanked them for participation in the Olympics.
Arman Akopian handed the Armenian Embassy's certificates to the
athletes and to ANOC. ANOC Vice President and Head of the Armenian
sports delegation in Vancouver Derenik Gabrielyan, in turn, gifted
a commemorative medal of ANOC to Arman Akopian, press service of the
Foreign Ministry of Armenia reported.
