ArmInfo. In late March the independent commission of MPs of the
British Parliament House of Commons will for the third time discuss a
draft law, according to which April 24 will be marked in the country
as the day for commemoration of the Armenian Genocide victims,
Stargazete.com reports.
The source recalls that for the first time this issue was discussed
at the specified commission in January. The commission's initiative
on recognition of the Armenian Genocide will also be submitted
for discussion of the House of Lords. If the commission formally
acknowledges the Armenians' claims, the initiative will be submitted
for approval of the Queen, after which it will receive a legal ground.
