RA Defense Ministry refuted the information spread by Azerbaijani media
that Armenian serviceman was killed as a result of skirmish in Armenian
defensive posts, on March 1. The sources referred to Azerbaijani
Defense Ministry, saying there are injured and arrested on the issue.
As NEWS.am reported previously, regular ceasefire violation by Azeri
side on March 1 on the border of Armenian Tavush region caused death
of an Armenian serviceman, RA Defense Ministry press service informed
NEWS.am. Commander of 21127 machine-gun squad of RA Armed Forces,
junior sergeant Sargis Voskanyan, 1981, was deadly injured on head.
The accident occurred at the position at about 13:30 near Chinari
village of Tavush region (Armenia). Investigation is launched.
"RA Defense Ministry once again declares that Armenian serviceman
was shot as a result of adversary's attack," the ministry's statement
reads.
