Azerbaijan is ready for any kind of adventure but only in case it
makes sure its stance will be backed by not only Turkey but also the
US. But Azerbaijan has no such opportunity today, leader of Democratic
Party of Armenia, Aram Sargsyan, said at a press conference today,
referring to the possible starting up again of an Armenian-Azerbaijani
war.
According to Sargsyan, should Azerbaijan initiate war, `it will be an
adventure which will have only one outcome - it will all end with
Azerbaijan's defeat.'
In his words, a possible Armenian-Azerbaijani war will turn into a big
regional war and will involve several regional states. That forces
Turkey and Azerbaijan to take reasonable steps.
`It depends on Armenia, whether Turkey will become a negotiating side
or not, though Turkey is making attempts to negotiate,' said Sargsyan.
According to him, Armenia has clearly stated its approach on the
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and it is highly unlikely to expect seeing
any change in the near future.
