TURKEY CANCELS TURKISH-SWEDISH SUMMIT

2010 has been canceled, press office of the prime minister of Turkey
reported. According to the statement, Recep Tayyip Erdogan also
canceled his visit to the country. Office of the prime minister of
Turkey issued a statement condemning the approval of the Armenian
Genocide resolution by the Swedish Parliament. According to the
statement, the Turkish government and public do not agree with the
decision of the Swedish Parliament.
On March 11 the Swedish Parliament recognized the Armenian Genocide
(131 votes in favor and 130 against), as well as the Genocides of
Assyrians and Pontic Greeks in the Ottoman Empire.
