Fikret Sadikhov Lenmarker said in Armenia that he sees Yerevan's will
and readiness to settle the conflict.
Political scientist Fikret Sadikhov commented on the statement of
special envoy of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on South Caucasus
Goran Lenmarker who said in Armenia that he sees Yerevan's will and
readiness to settle the conflict and he hopes that Baku will also
express the readiness.
"It is ridiculous and odd to hear such statements from such a senior
European official if, certainly, the Armenian press had not distorted
his words. We often witness the cases when western politicians
and officials say something to please the Yerevan public and then,
when visiting Baku, they urge to make compromises and concessions",
Sadikhov said.
"It seems that this game has been planned to present Yerevan as
"peace-loving" and Baku as "aggressive". Lenmarker have forgotten that
Baku was first to adopt the Madrid principles and now he first visits
Yerevan to learn the position of the Armenian side. This double game
of the western politician completely discredits West and Europe in
the eyes of the Azerbaijani public and leadership", Sadikhov said.
