TURKEY OUTRAGED OVER ARMENIAN GENOCIDE RESOLUTIONS

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ History is not formed by parliaments, it is proved
by archives, so resolutions, adopted for political purpose, are
deprived of scientific basis, have little to do with logic and sense
and nothing in common with historic truth, Turkish Prime Minister
Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in London.

Commenting on Armenian Genocide resolutions passed in Washington and
Stockholm, he noted: "The initiatives, interfering with rapprochement
and normalization of bilateral ties, frustrate hopes for the future."

Turkey's Vice Premier, Jemil Cicek, in turn, noted that "passage of
resolutions aimed against Turkish nation is absolutely unfair."

"Turkish reaction does not carry a passing character. I hope our
partners understand it and are capable of accessing the situation,"
    he said.

On March 4, 2010, with a vote of 23 to 22, the House Foreign Relations
Committee successfully passed House Resolution 252 (H. Res. 252)
pushing the Resolution in Congress for a final vote yet to be
    scheduled.

On March 11, 2010, the Swedish Parliament recognized the Armenian
Genocide in Ottoman Empire in 1915 by 131 votes in favor and 130
    against.
