ArmInfo. The military privilege of Azerbaijani army as against the
armed forces of Armenia and Karabakh is a myth created by Russian
analysts, an independent analyst Igor Muradyan told journalists today.
'Azerbaijani army has no practical privilege against Armenian
sub-divisions. The only privilege of Azerbaijanis by the number of
the military aircrafts is graded by the strong system of Armenian
anti-aircraft defence. For this reason, there is no sense to speak
about it', - he said and added that Russian servicemen and analysts are
artificially decreasing the role and potential of the Armenian army,
as they think that the Armenian-Turkish dialogue may turn Armenia
into Turkey's satellite. 'In its turn, this will lead to Russia's
leaving Armenia, which is extremely undesirable for Moscow against the
background of the American-Georgian and American-Azerbaijani relations,
which is striving to preserve its military presence in the region',
- he concluded.
