GOVERNMENT REMOVES DRIVING BAN FOR DEAF PEOPLE

YEREVAN, March 18, /ARKA/. The Armenian government has invalidated
its 2006 decision that banned people with impaired hearing to drive
vehicles.
Health minister Harutyun Kushkian said today a study of international
experience revealed that deaf people are permitted to drive cars
after installing special devices in their vehicles.'
He said people with hearing problems are allowed to drive cars actually
in all developed countries.
