AZERBAIJAN WELCOMED ADOPTION OF MADRID PRINCIPLES OF GARABAGH CONFLICT SETTLEMENT BY ARMENIA

Baku, Fineko/abc.az. Azerbaijani foreign affairs minister Elmar
Mammadyarov received today in Baku his Singaporean counterpart
George Eon.
In the meeting Mammadyarov stated that he considered it gladdening
that the Armenian party passed the renewed Madrid basic principles
of the Garabagh conflict settlement.
"It gladdens that Armenian FM Edward Nalbandyan has claimed
of acceptability of the Madrid document. It creates a basis for
Azerbaijan, Armenia and the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairs to bring the
first stage of negotiations to completion and start drafting of a
large agreement," Mammadyarov stated.
At the same time he noted that he also needed to conduct other
negotiations with the Minsk Group co-chairs on the occasion of their
last meeting with Armenian FM in Paris and know their vision of
further moves in conflict settlement.
