Spain and the UK are the next to recognize the Armenian Genocide

ArmInfo. It seems that Spain and the UK will be the next to recognize
the Armenian Genocide, the head of the parliamentary group of Armenian
revolutionary Federation Dashnaktsutyun Vahan Hovhannissyan said
during a meeting with public representatives today.
"In any case, those countries are seriously considering this
possibility. One of Spanish provinces, Catalonia, has already
recognized the Armenian Genocide. So, we must redouble our efforts to
attain the Genocide's recognition by those two states," Hovhannissyan
said.
The recognition of the Armenian Genocide in Sweden was a hard process:
Sweden is the very engine that is dragging Turkey into the EU as
Ankara's membership will be beneficial to Stockholm. "However, we have
managed to convince our Swedish colleagues that they should adopt this
resolution," Hovhannissyan said.
To remind, Mar 11 Swedish Riksdag adopted a resolution recognizing the
Armenian Genocide by 131 "pros" against 130 "contras." Turkey
responded by calling back its ambassador from Stockholm.
