ARMENIAN ARYAN UNION CELEBRATES BIRTH OF GOD OF WAR

On March 21, the Armenian Aryan Union (AAU), an ultranationalist,
ethnocentric and antisemitic group in Armenia that also happens to
celebrate pagan rituals, held a ceremony at the Garni pagan temple
celebrating the renaissance of Vahagn, the Armenian God of war,
thunder and lightning. This day is marked by Armenian Aryans also as
the New Year.
The ceremony was attended by members of the Armenian Aryan Union,
the Armenian Nationalists Union (ANU), Diasporan Armenians,
representatives of the Yezidi community in Armenia headed by the
Sheikh Majit, representatives from the Iranian embassy in Armenia
and citizens of Iran and Russia.
The ceremony was conducted by priest Manuk and AAU leader Armen
Avetisyan. The priests delivered wine toasts dedicated to God
Vahagn and conducted a ceremony of lighting fire. The participants
congratulated each other on the occasion of Terrestial and Celestial
spring.
