ARMENIAN TRANSPORT AND COMMUNICATION MINISTER MEETS RESPONSIBLE FOR ADB PROGRAM

YEREVAN, MARCH 22, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Transport and Communication
Minister Manuk Vardanyan received today responsible for the Asian
Development Bank program Arto Ahone.
Press secretary of the Ministry Susanna Tonoyan told Armenpress that
the minister thanked the representative of the bank for cooperation
and expressed hope that in near future the joint programs will become
of practical nature. They particularly referred to the program on
construction of the "North-South" highway. M. Vardanyan said that the
tender for the director of the organization which will implement the
program has already been announced and after summing up the results of
the tender the works of the organization of the new office will launch.
A. Ahone, congratulating the newly appointed minister, presented in
details the timeframe of construction of the "North-South" highway
and informed that the program implementation organization will start
operating in July.
At the meeting other programs funded by the Asian Development Program
directed toward the reconstruction of infrastructures were discussed.
