Statement by the Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan that he would expel
from his country 100 thousand Armenians, was a response to those who
are ready to jump into the arms of the Turks and believe that only
in case of opening the border Armenia may develop. This statement
was issued on March 22 by an ARF Member of Parliament Artsvik Minasyan.

According to him, this is another confirmation that genocide is a
governmental policy of Turkey. The MP believes that the Armenians
should join efforts in recognizing the genocide, and the government
should as soon as possible get out of the process and proceed to the
    national policy.

Artsvik Minasyan noted that Armenia has already felt the negative
impact of the Armenian and Turkish process and it is necessary to
immediately leave the process. According to him, one of the negative
consequences is the Karabakh issue which became a precondition and is
in a dynamic phase. According to Minasyan, "fast settlement of the
NKR issue threatens Armenia's national interests". Those principles
which are proposed to the sides, according to Minasyan, almost totally
    threaten Armenia's interests.

Minasyan says they used to warn that the Armenian and Turkish
process would bring about the situation when the NKR issue would
be a precondition or Armenia would be forced a solution facing the
danger of a war. In this context, Artsvik Minasyan stated that the
best way to resist the current challenges is national unity for which
the government is to take up important steps in the fields of foreign
and home- economic and political situations.

The steps, which, according to Minasyan are necessary for the unity
of Armenians, are- national foreign policy, socio-economic reforms,
modernization of democratic and political systems, reforms of
    electoral system.
