A competition of military robots will for the first time be held
in Armenia, Mariam Nahapetyan, Manager of the Armenian Robots Open
Competition /ArmRobotics, told NEWS.am.
She said that military robots in Armenia have to perform the simplest
tasks. "During the first competition mine detector robots will be
constructed. The context will also be held in Nagorno-Karabakh on
May 9, on the occasion of the Shushi victory.
Nahapetyan pointed out that the up-to-date technologies will be
applied in the Armenian defense system.
The Armenian Robots Open Competition was first held in 2008 on the
initiative of the Union of Information Technologies Enterprises.
