TURKISH FOREIGN MINISTRY: "WE ARE CONSIDERING THE TRANSFER CLAIMS BY ARMENIA ON THE INTERNATIONAL LEGAL PLANE"

Baku - APA. "Turkey is considering moving the Armenian claims of
so-called "Armenian Genocide" on the international legal plane",
said press-secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey
Burak Ozugargin, APA reports quoting Vatan newspaper.
At the weekly press briefing, held on 24 March, Burak Ozugergin
noted that parliaments are not places where decisions are made about
historical issues. On the question: "Have the State on this matter
to the European Court of Human Rights?", Ozugargin replied that
"One of the options is to consider an appeal to international legal
authorities." The diplomat noted that when the time comes, designed
from the USA and Switzerland, after that return back.
Note that, the opposition of Turkey made a proposal to convert to
legal disputes on the plane so-called "Armenian genocide". Former
Turkish Ambassador to Japan and the U.S., former chief of staff of
Turkey Ministry of Foreign Affairs, member of the party Jumhuriyat,
deputy Sukru Alekdag prepared on this issue a legal document and
presented it to President A. Gul. It has been in the report that,
Turkey has 2 options: first, to file suit in the Hague International
Court on countries adopting the "Armenian genocide", while the second -
to offer Armenia jointly to the International Court for investigation
the events of 1915.
