Armenia has a historical debt to break the tool of genocides into
pieces, Armenia's Sargsyan declared at his meeting with Aleppo
Armenians.
"The threats made from upper tribunes are evidence to facts that the
greatest challenge of the 21st century is terrorism. And the most
dangerous type of terrorism is state terrorism, when one step is made
to the greatest humane crime - genocide," President Sargsyan stated
in his speech, adding:
"Armenian state which is the guarantor of protecting Armenians and
their security, our state has a historical debt to be an active
participant contributing those efforts to demolish the genocide tools."
Underscoring that Syria has become second home to those Armenians
who had been so lucky to escape the genocide, those Armenians found
secure life and relative and kind relations in Syrian land.
"But for thousands the valley of Euphrates had become gates to hell.
Desert of Deir Zor had become the last shelter for many Armenians;
the biggest Armenian cemetery-shelter."
President Sargsyan presented the resolution that Armenian state and
Armenians spread all over the world should commit their portion of
paying that historical debt.
"We can't hope on changing of the world. We can't hope on pan-humane
justice. They are our missions, our hope to be transformed and our
abilities to persist the challenges of time. World won't be changed
unless we change it, and we should change much within ourselves and
in our relations," President Sargsyan underscored.
