    SCR and Georgian railway intended to increase the quality of transport services


    YEREVAN, March 26. /ARKA/. CJSC `South-Caucasian Railway' and Georgian
    railway develop joint measures of transport services quality increase.

    In the frames of the meeting on March 22-23 representatives of SCR and
    `Georgian railway' Ltd on the head of General Director Shevket
    Shaydullin and Irakli Ezugbaya discussed broad specter of issues
    related to cargo and passengers transportation, information and
    communication technologies in Tbilisi.

    SCR and `Georgian railway' made appointments on the creation of
    working group which will deal with marketing analysis and definition
    of measures for the increase of cargo flow between Georgia and
    Armenia.

    The main topic of the meeting became organization of upcoming seasonal
    route `Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan'.

    The parties agreed on sale of tickets by `round trip' for passengers
    train `Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan'.

    Special attention was paid to the issue of time reduction of route
    Yerevan-Tbilisi.

    Managers of the companies mentioned the importance of experience and
    information exchange with the aim of strengthening of further
    cooperation, creation of equal access and competition for both parties
    and quality increase of transport services.

    Concession management of `Armenian railway' is implemented by CJSC
    `South Caucasian Railway' which is 100% affiliate of Open JSC `Russian
    Railway'. SCR accepted the railway stock of CJSC `Armenian railway' on
    its balance from June 1, 2008 according to Concession Agreement signed
    on February 13, 2008. The terms of concession management is for 30
    years with the right of prolongation for another 10 years. --0--
