Today at 5 p.m. Judge Gayane Karakhanyan of Yerevan's Kentron and
Nork-Marash districts' first instance court will announce the verdict
for the appeal filed by "Heritage" party deputy Zaruhi Postanjyan.
Let us remind that the criminal case on articles offending the
deputy's honor and dignity in "Heritage" daily had been quashed by the
investigator of the RA Police and the prosecutor in charge of the
case.
"Judge Gayane Karakhanyan's verdict will make it clear whether the
"promising news" for the masses with vulgar expressions and offense
through naked pictures against any person by "legal permission" of
"being dissatisfied with professional activities and not having the
purpose of offending" will be grounded, or whether the elementary laws
of morality will be maintained. Those who provided the "news" against
citizen of the Republic of Armenia Zaruhi Postanjyan will eventually
be brought to justice," as stated in the statement by "Heritage"
faction.
