ArmInfo- BLACK SEA PRESS: The natural gas transit to Armenia through
the territory of Georgia is temporarily suspended because of the
gas pipeline breakdown. The Oil&Gas Corporation of Georgia has
sent additional forces to help liquidating the breakdown of the
gas pipeline.
According to the information provided by the Oil&Gas Corporation press-
service, there was a landslide yesterday at 16:00 at the Gudauri-Kobi
section which damaged the gas pipeline.
Members of the Georgian gas transmission company are working on site;
they promise to complete the reconstruction of the damaged section
in 2 or 3 days, and the gas transit to Armenia will be resumed. The
breakdown did not affect the gas-supply to Georgia as that country
receives gas from Azerbaijan.
