ArmInfo. Imitation of the government staff reduction will touch
only upon no patronage jobs, says Stepan Safaryan, Head of the
Heritage Party Faction, at a briefing on Friday in the parliament,
when commenting on Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan's statement on
necessity of government staff reduction.
"I do not think that Tigran Sargsyan has noticed this problem just now
after two-years of his activity on the position of the prime minister.
It is not a secret that the government staff is excessive, but the good
intentions of the government will hardly touch upon the "newcomers","
Safaryan said.
To recall, Tigran Sargsyan announced on Thursday that ministerial
function clarification work is being completed at the government to
be followed by the agency statute approval procedure. In parallel,
business - process description is underway which has demonstrated
that we have an efficiency problem to address in this field. This
may lead to job cutbacks. The resources so economized will be left
with the ministries to provide incentives for the remaining staff.
