THE ITALIAN AMBASSADOR TO LEBANON VISITS HIS HOLINESS ARAM I
On Thursday, 29 April 2010, His Excellency Gabriel Chichia, the Italian
Ambassador to Lebanon visited His Holiness Aram I.
The discussions focused on issues regarding Lebanon - firstly, the efforts
of the Italian Government in establishing peace in the Middle East and the
task of the Italian forces in their role as peacekeepers. Secondly, the
forthcoming conference on 'Christianity in the Middle East' that the Vatican
is organising.
His Holiness Aram I, also, reflected on the efforts being made for the
recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
