It is desirable that Turkey should not interfere in other countries'
states, especially in Armenian-Azerbaijani relations, as it is
a party that has its interests in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict,
Stepan Safaryan, Chairman of the Heritage parliamentary faction,
told NEWS.am, commenting on Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu's statement
that the Armenian-Azerbaijani border must be reopened together with
    the Armenian-Turkish border.

According to him, Turkey's historical experience is "so bitter" that
all of its attempts to settle any conflicts end in disaster. "Turkey
must first become a state that would generate domestic peace and
stability, and only then try to lay claims to fostering values in the
region," Safaryan said. He pointed out that the Armenian-Azerbaijani
relations cannot in any way "pursue Turkey's whims."
