Germany is partially guilty in perpetration of Armenian Genocide in
1915, renowned Kurdish public figure and historian Recep Marasli told
at the conference organized by Armenian democrats of Belgium.
In his May 2 speech at the Brussels conference dedicated to Armenian
Genocide, Marasli underlined that in 1915 Young Turks perpetrated
Genocide, Firat news agency reports. "Germany was closely cooperating
with Young Turks then. While planning genocide, they got major support
from Germany. Germany could not be unaware of the preplanned genocide,"
historian said.
Marasli is known for his "Armenian National Democratic Movement and
1915 Genocide" book - a result of 25 year research.
A passage from the book reads: "Massacre perpetrated by Turkey against
Armenians is genocide and Turkish government is in charge of it. It is
an undisputable fact. Genocide recognizes no motivations. Genocide,
perpetrated against Armenians is the major crime against humanity
and it should be condemned."
