YEREVAN, MAY 3, ARMENPRESS: Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan
paid today a working visit to the Armenian province of Lori and got
acquainted with the apartment building works in the town of Spitak.

The prime minister was accompanied by the Urban Development Minister
Vardan Vardanyan and governor of Lori province Aram Kocharyan.

    V. Vardanyan said at the meeting with the reporters that currently
construction works of 220 apartments are in process in Spitak. "We
highlight the issue of seismic stability of apartments, it reaches
9 points," Vardan Vardanyan said. The apartment construction
works are intended to be finished by the end of June. After the
exploitation of the 220 apartments another 90 families will be
among the beneficiaries. Last year 170 apartments have been handed
to exploitation. In Spitak construction of another 80 apartments is
intended from June and in Lori province 550 apartments.

During the visit of the Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan to the
disaster zone flaws have been registered and additional assignments
have been given to eliminate them. Director of the "Glendale Hills"
company Vahe Almoyan said that the construction works are being
carried out on a high level.

"Taking into consideration the volume of the construction works, there
must have been flaws but they have been eliminated and issues have
been solved. With the assignment of the president additional works
have been carried out on installing heating systems," Almoyan said.

According to him, the Armenian government provided additional means
for the additional work and there are no problems in that respect.

A consultation was conducted in Spitak community office headed by
    the Armenian prime minister.
