Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received functional director of
"Plug and Play" computer companies' incubator Keiwan Barumandi. The
head of the government visited "Plug and Play" computer companies'
incubator in November 2009 within the framework of "ArmTech-2009"
congress and got acquainted with its programs and opportunities.
Governmental press service told Armenpress that during the meeting the
interlocutors discussed a number of issues, particularly the prospects
of implementation of joint programs in the IT and High Tech spheres.
As promising directions for cooperation the interlocutors highlighted
the opening of branch of the "Plug and Play" company and organization
of its activity in Armenia. A special significance was attached
to the program on establishing Armenian high tech representation
in the Silicone Valley. The goal of the program is to promote the
Armenian-American cooperation in the IT sphere and create wide
opportunities for involvement of investments, orders as well as for
selling products.
The parties also highlighted the organization of bilateral meetings
of the IT sphere specialists and companies' representatives which
may promote the consolidation of ties.
The functioning director of "Plug and Play" company underscored the
necessity of boosting cooperation in the sphere of education.
